Handling
The pressure clamps used to handle cubic blocks have been adapted so they can handle Cubipods. It is recommended that a dual pressure clamp is used in the manufacturing and storage yard. A single clamp has been designed for placing the pieces on the slope.
It is better to handle the pieces with pressure clamps than with slings, because the manual operation of providing slings is unnecessary and the safety of the personnel is improved. Handling the pieces with pressure clamps is considered essential to speed up the process of handling large pieces of concrete and to make it safer, i.e., making it possible to handle the pieces from the crane, with fewer personnel and from a greater distance.
