Molds

SATO has taken out an international patent for the molds used to manufacture Cubipods, and they have been designed to optimize their performance. They are of the jelly-mold type, like the ones used to manufacture cubic blocks, which means they can be stripped vertically 6 to 8 hours after concreting (from one to three lays per day).

The molds will be manufactured to be slightly conical with the edges beveled to make stripping easier.

This type of mold needs less space and is less sensitive to on-site waste and uneven surfaces than the lateral-opening molds typical of bulky units. Cubipod molds have been designed to increase production performance, which means lower costs and a need for less space.
